PriceTracker compares prices from public pages of online shops in Montenegro. The browser extension sends the address of the page you are on only when you click one of its buttons; it does not read pages or track browsing. If you switch on its price alerts (off by default), it also sends the address of each product page you open in the shops we track, to check whether another shop sells the product cheaper; the browser gives it access to those shops' sites only, and these addresses are not stored in our database. Product links we do not know yet are kept, with how often they were requested, to decide which shops to add; nothing about you is stored with them. Suggestions you send are kept. Shops you hide on the front page are remembered in a cookie in your browser for a year. Accounts are optional: if you register we keep your email, a hash of your password, whether you confirmed the email, and the products you watch with their target prices. The email is used only for confirming the account, password resets and price-drop alerts for products you watch; you can delete the account and watchlist yourself on the watchlist page. You can also watch a price with just your email: we send one confirmation link and store nothing until you open it; confirming creates an account for that email (set a password any time through "forgot password"), and every alert has a link to stop it. The session cookie also keeps you logged in. Visits are counted with SiteCrumb analytics: pages opened (with their address, including searches), referrer, device, browser, country and city, clicks, scrolling, and events such as a search, a click on a shop link or starting a price watch; it may record the visit, never the text typed into forms, and emails shown on pages are hidden. It uses no cookies, keeps a random id in your browser's local storage to recognise repeat visits, does not store your IP address with the data, and skips browsers that send Do Not Track. Emails are never sent to it, not even from confirmation links. There are no ads or marketing emails, and no data is sold. Your IP address is used briefly for rate limiting; server logs record IP addresses and requested addresses, including searches and links sent by the extension. The product page loads a chart library from cdn.jsdelivr.net, and product images (also in the extension) load directly from the shops' sites, which see your IP address but not the page you came from.
